Bennelong Event Hire was born from a simple but uncompromising belief, that every event, regardless of size or occasion, deserves to be extraordinary.
Founded in Sydney in 2020 in the midst of a pandemic, we have grown from a fledgling hire company into one of the city's most trusted names in premium event and wedding hire.
Every product in our collection has been deliberately chosen. Every client relationship has been carefully built. And every event we are part of receives the same level of care, precision and passion, whether it's an intimate dinner for twenty or a large-scale production for two thousand.

WHY BENNELONG?
A name rooted in Sydney's history
Bennelong is quintessentially a Sydney name, and one that carries with it a powerful story of resilience, identity and connection to place. We carry it with pride and with purpose.
The name Bennelong is not chosen lightly. At Bennelong Event Hire, we deeply believe in the rights and recognition of this country's First People, and our name is a deliberate and respectful acknowledgement of that belief.
Woollarawarre Bennelong was a senior man of the Eora people. Captured on the orders of Governor Phillip, he was brought to Sydney Cove to establish communications between the British settlers and the Indigenous people of this land. Having survived smallpox and a host of other diseases that devastated his community, Bennelong learned to speak English, travelled to England and allegedly met King George III. Upon returning to Sydney, he was granted a hut and land on what is now the site of the Sydney Opera House, one of the most iconic locations in the world.

Bennelong Lawn, the intimate and spectacular setting within the Royal Botanic Gardens, in the shadow of the Sydney Opera House, has been the location of some of our most celebrated work. From Bar Mitzvahs, birthdays, weddings and memorials to product launches, brand activations and Christmas parties, we have had the privilege of bringing this extraordinary space to life for some of Sydney's most memorable occasions.

We have had the privilege of working alongside some of the most celebrated names in the Australian events industry, including the legendary event guru David Grant and the late great caterers Norma Willis and Anders Ousback, during the golden age of the Australian special event.
That history shapes everything we do today. The standards we lived by at some of the world's greatest events are the standards we bring to yours.
We are based in Auburn, and generally, you’ll find us servicing events in Sydney CBD, Eastern suburbs, and Northern beaches. We also love doing country weddings and events from the Blue Mountains and Southern Highlands to the Central Coast and Hunter Valley.
Behind every Bennelong event is a small, dedicated and passionate team of event hire professionals. We are not a faceless warehouse operation, we are a hands-on team that takes personal responsibility for every order, every delivery and every client relationship.
Launched in the midst of a global pandemic, Bennelong has gone from strength to strength, becoming one of Sydney's most respected luxury event hire companies with an unwavering enthusiasm for the industry and the events it makes possible.
Our team is made up of experienced professionals from across the globe, all with extensive backgrounds in the events industry. Between them, they have worked on some of the world's most prestigious events, including the Sydney 2000 Olympics, CHOGM, World Cup Rugby, the Commonwealth Games, Australian Open Tennis, APEC and the Australian Open Golf.
